Ravello - Amalfi Coast
Villa Rufolo Medieval estate & landscaped gardens,
venue for an annual, summer-long, international Music & Arts Festival. Celebrated orchestras & performers are set on a stage suspended over the "big drop" (c. 1.000 ft.) to the rocky shore below.
The Rufolo is right next door to the Garden, with dinner guests serenaded by the "sounds of music" wafting up over the terraces
Villa Cimbrone
Originally an 11th century mansion, elegantly restored at the turn of the last century by an eccentric English "Mi-Lord", who added a "Moorish cloister", vaulted crypt, grottos, Victorian "follies", classical statuary & other adornments. The villa is set on top of a sheer-drop cliff, famous for its magnificent gardens & floral avenues. Alo for a guest list of the "crème de la crème" - literary, film, royal & political luminaries - of the last 100 years.
Palatial hotels & restaurants and the village itself, with its ancient basilica (Duomo) in the main Piazza & layout/ambience of higgledy -piggledy, medieval "souks & alleys"
Refreshment of the Spirit
Hill-walks among the seven villages - quaintly called "fragments" - of the Comune of Ravello & a wild hinterland of chestnut woods & nature reserves.
Beach resorts & excursions - via bus from the terminus right outside the hotel.
The Garden can arrange a choice of excursions, both pre-packaged are custom-made. Popular day trips include…

Exclusive or scheduled ferry boat (short) cruises to the Isle of Capri & Ischia, Salerno (for shopping ), Sorrento & Naples.
A "must-do" visit is to the spectacular port-resort of Positano, once famous for Fellini's "La Dolce Vita" set - & still stylish.
Special "packages" for honeymoons &/or special interests - Italian/Neapolitan cookinhg tuition, wine tasting & local/archaeological/ecclesiastal/traditional/cultural aspects of life in the Italian "Deep South".
Anything else that interests you – just ask!
